Our traditional cold process soaps
Our traditional cold process soaps are different to our glycerine based soaps. These are created by mixing a lye water solution with oils and mixing well. This enables saponification to happen, which produces soap.
Cold process soaps require time to 'cure'. During the curing process, water evaporates from the soap and thus the bar hardens further - this takes on average 4 weeks, but can take longer depending on the oils / butters used in the soap making process - liquid oils take longer to cure.
Our cold process soaps have been formulated with a more natural basis, but every now and then a wildly coloured soap loaf may appear - we also have allergen free soaps for those of you with super sensitive skin, and we have produced some especially which are un-fragranced to make sure we cater for each of you.
